How We Verify Hotels

The one rule of this directory: a hotel is listed only when the hotel itself officially says it offers table tennis. This page explains what that means in practice.

What counts as an official statement

  • âś“The hotel's own website - a facilities, activities or amenities page that mentions table tennis or ping pong. This is our preferred source.
  • âś“Booking-site amenity listings (Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, Agoda, TUI and similar) - these lists are supplied by the hotel itself, so they count as the hotel's own statement.
  • âś—Guest reviews - not sufficient on their own. Tables come and go; a 2019 review proves nothing about today.
  • âś—Third-party blogs and “best of” lists - we never copy claims we can't trace back to the hotel.

What you see on every hotel profile

Each profile has a “How we verified this” box showing:

  • the source of the table tennis claim (with a link where possible),
  • the exact wording from the source where we captured it,
  • the date we last checked it.

Where we found extra detail - number of tables, indoor or outdoor, free or paid, equipment brand - we show that too. If we couldn't confirm a detail, we leave it out rather than guess.

What happens when we can't verify a hotel

In our 2026-07-05 review we checked every hotel in the directory against these criteria. Hotels whose table tennis claim we could not trace to an official source were removed from the site - even when the claim was plausible. Some had closed, some had been renamed, and for some the ping pong simply never existed.

The result is a smaller directory - currently 326 hotels in 147 destinations - where every entry can be checked. We re-add hotels as soon as an official source turns up.

Ratings and prices

  • We collect no reviews ourselves. Where we show a guest rating, it comes from a named booking site and is always attributed.
  • We publish no prices. Room rates change constantly - booking links always show live rates instead.

One caveat - and how to help

Facilities change. A hotel can remove its table tomorrow without telling anyone. If ping pong is essential to your stay, confirm with the hotel before booking - and if you find an error here, tell us so we can fix it.

Affiliate disclosure: booking links go to our partner Hotels.com. We may earn a commission if you book - it never affects the price you pay or which hotels we list.
